Delta Gamma is a Panhellenic Sorority founded in 1873 at the Lewis School for Girls. The 3 women who founded Delta Gamma were Anna Boyd, Mary Comfort, and Eva Webb. Currently, Delta Gamma has over 250,000 members, 150 collegiate chapters, and 200 alumnae groups. The Beta Xi chapter of Delta Gamma is located in East Lansing, Michigan at Michigan State University and first opened its doors in 1946.

Article II of Delta Gamma's constitution discusses the objects of our fraternity. Article II states "the objects of this fraternity shall be to foster high ideals of friendship among women, to promote their educational and cultural interests, to create in them a true sense of social responsibility, and to develop in them the best qualities of character." Delta Gamma strives to Do Good through our philanthropic efforts and empower women through our sisterhood.
