Philanthropy

Service for Sight

Delta Gamma is unique in that we created our own philanthropy. Our philanthropy can be divided into three sections. The first part of our philanthropy is Service for Sight. Service for Sight is dedicated to supporting people with visual impairments. Throughout the nation, Delta Gamma has opened 5 schools for the blind. Many of our signature events are dedicated to raising money for Service for Sight. Anchor Slam, Anchor Week, and Anchor Splash are some of the main events we host as a chapter to support Service for Sight. Take a look at some of our social media posts to learn more about these events.

The Golden Anchor

The second section of Delta Gamma's philanthropy is The Golden Anchor. This program is dedicated toward aiding senior Delta Gamma alumna and other citizens within our community. We volunteer at a local assisted living facility as well as hosting bingo nights and getting to know some of the residents at the home.

Joining Forces

The third and final section of our philanthropy is Joining Forces which serves as a way to give back to the men and women who fight for our country. Much of our efforts go towards providing clinical care, research and other benefits for veterans. Many veterans also experience visual impairments, allowing us to build upon our Service for Sight philanthropy.
