The Basics

Let's start with the basics. There are 14 Panhellenic sororities at Michigan State. Each sorority has its own house, philanthropy, colors, symbol, values and more! Each chapter hosts their own annual philanthropy events to raise money for their cause. Each sorority also holds sisterhood events throughout the school year to bond with your sisters! Take a look at the Philanthropy section of our blog website or our social media to learn more about DG's philanthropy!

Some Advice

Recruitment is one of the most exciting but nerve wracking experiences of your college experience. From meeting new friends to making some tough decisions, we've been in your shoes!! We want to share our best pieces of advice to help you have the best recruitment experience possible!

Outfits

  1. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in

  2. As each day of recruitment progresses, your outfits generally get a bit more formal

  3. Wear something that makes you feel both comfortable and confident! Have fun with it!

Keeping Track of the Houses

  1. Keep track of the things you love about each house and why using your notes app or a journal

  2. These notes will allow to better remember your initial feelings when deciding your preferences at the end of each night

  3. You can also use your journal to write down questions you want to ask active members

What to Bring to Recruitment

  1. Pack a bag with all of the essentials! It's better to be safe than sorry!

  2. We recommend you bring comfy shoes to change into between parties, snacks, water, a notebook and pen, bandaids, an umbrella, a hair brush, Advil and whatever else you think you'll need!

Making Tough Decisions

  1. Use your Recruitment Guide when you're making a tough decision and aren't sure where your heads at!

  2. Your Recruitment Guide is an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on!

One Final Piece of Advice

  1. Be your most genuine and authentic self through this experience and you will find a house that is perfect for you!

  2. Ask questions! The active members will gladly answer any questions you may have!

We wish you nothing but good luck and good vibes through your recruitment experience! We cannot wait to meet you all and get to know you! Trust us, we are just as nervous as you are:)

XOXO,

Delta Gamma
