Semester Recap

With the semester coming to an end, we have had the chance to reflect on all of our accomplishments. We are so proud of the progress we have made, and we cannot wait to see what 2023 holds!

Recruitment

This past September we held our first fully in-person primary recruitment since 2019, and it was a huge success! Our VP: Membership, Brittany, and the rest of our EVC, Brooke, Sierra, Abby, and Maeve, put their blood, sweat, and tears into the 2 week long event, and we could not be more thankful for them! They were resilient in handling any challenges that came their way, and always kept a positive attitude (no matter if they were only running on 4 hours of sleep)! We had so much fun meeting so many amazing women throughout recruitment, and we loved getting to learn about the different values, community involvement, and sisterhood each PNM brought to the table. After 2 weeks of recruiting, we welcomed 40 new beautiful women into our chapter. As the weeks went by, we continued to participate in continuous open recruitment, and were able to welcome another 20 members to our chapter. We are so excited that they found a home in Delta Gamma, and we cannot wait to watch them grow throughout their experience as a DG.

Bid Day

After 2 weeks of hard-work, we were able to welcome our new members with the best bid day celebration! Our VP: Member Education, Emma, and our Director of New Members, Faith, planned an amazing celebration for our new member class that they will remember forever. From a donut wall to a bounce house, they planned it all! Our bid day theme was "we've been dreaming of you", so everyone wore their cutest pajama attire. We welcomed our new members with a DJ, pizza, all types of sweets, a bounce house, and even an old mattress and bed frame for a photo shoot! We loved being able to welcome our new members in a special celebration, and we hope they enjoyed their special day.

Re-Finishing the Formal Room

Over the summer, our House Corps team had the opportunity to re-do and re-furnish our formal room! The team got a group of about 8 active members together to help with this project! With many ideas, they were able to get moving and come up with a beautiful new formal room. It's safe to say we are OBSESSED!

Anchor Splash

One of the last major events of the semester was our signature philanthropy event, Anchor Splash! Our foundations team put their heart and soul into this event, and it was a huge success! We had 6 different teams participate in various relay races and swimming events, and we topped off the event with some synchronized swimming. We enjoyed watching the teams be creative with their routines and dedicated to winning the overall trophy. A huge shoutout to our VP: Foundations, Maya, and our foundations directors, Gabby, Zoe, and Dana, as well as all of the teams that participated in the event! We were able to raise over $5,000 to help us reach our goal of buying a service animal for someone who is visually impaired! Congratulations to this years winner, ZBT!

New CMT

On top of a great semester, we also welcomed in a new chapter management team! We have high hopes for the next term, and we know our new CMT will help us reach all our goals!

Saying Goodbye to our Graduates

Lastly, we had to say goodbye to 3 of our seniors this fall, Morgan, Chloe, and Daphne. We are so sad to see them go, but we cannot wait to see all that they accomplish in their futures! We appreciate the hard-work, dedication, and love they put into Delta Gamma, and we are surely going to miss them!

As the year comes to an end, we reflect on all of our accomplishments as a chapter, and dream of all of the goals we hope to reach in 2023! We cannot wait to see what the future holds!
