Strike for Sight 2023

Last month, we hosted our second Strike for Sight bowling event. We had so much fun and were able to raise over $1,500! The day was filled with lots of bowling, Super Bowl squares, food, and fun!

On February 12th, we hosted our Strike for Sight bowling event at Spare Time Entertainment. We were able to get 23 teams to sign up and bowl, and it was an amazing turn out! Some of our own sisters even bowled! It was so much fun seeing how competitive everyone got.

Throughout the event, we also sold Super Bowl squares! We filled an entire board with people who were eager to win big. Half of the profits were donated to Service for Sight, and the other half of the profits went to the winners! By selling shirts, bowling lanes, Super Bowl squares, and collecting donations from family and friends, we raised a grand total of over $1,500 just from Strike for Sight alone! So far this semester we have raised about $6,000 for Service for Sight and we could not do it without our Vp: Foundations, Maya Gulick, and our Director of Fundraising, Gabby Dobernick. They put their blood, sweat, and tears into planning and executing so many amazing and fun philanthropy events for us and we could not be more grateful for them!

Not only did we have so much fun bowling at Strike for Sight, we also made sure to do it in style! Our Director of Apparel, Olivia Piklor, created the most adorable t-shirts for us. Bowling participants received a shirt when they signed up and sisters could also purchase one for themselves.

Overall, we had so much fun at Strike for Sight and we are so happy with the turn out we had thanks to our amazing MSU and FSL community. We are so lucky to be able to hold events like this to raise money for an amazing cause. We hope to host this event again in the future!
